Though it’s newly built, the villa draws its inspiration from 50 years of boho-chic Careyes style, full of bold colors and natural textures, all nestled into a verdant tropical forest. It’s steps from the beach, pools, and open-air restaurant.

With private terraces off the great room and the 2 bedrooms, you can settle in with a good book or good company. For a swim or another water adventure, stroll down to the beach club; for sunset views, stretch out in a lounger by one of the 5 west-facing infinity pools.

Beneath the lush greens of the gardens and the melon-pink walls, the villa is an understated mix of crisp white upholstery and warm local rosa morada wood. The living area, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen are all open to one another in the great room, and both bedrooms open off the space.

It may be under the radar, but this stretch of Mexico’s Pacific coast is a hot spot for art, architecture, and dining. Set aside time to explore the art installations, or “wonders,” as they’re known, and ask about a coastal boat tour if you’d like to see the ocean castles perched above the water. Find breakfast and lunch at on-site La Duna, ceviche and cocktails at local institution Playa Rosa Beach Club, and everything from steaks to Mediterranean fare a short drive away.
